Another difference between a self-contained compactor and a stationary compactor is that a self-contained compactor is designed for waste that produces liquids as the trash gets compressed. Liquid waste needs to be disposed of in a completely different way so that it remains safe. Self-contained compactors are equipped with a separate container to capture the liquid waste to dispose of it properly.
